The Church of the Annunciation is the first remarkable architectural monument of the liberated Greek nation and enjoys a prominent location on a hill above the town of Tinos. Thousands of believers arrive every season of the year to embrace the miraculous image of the Virgin Mary. In the churchyard there is the Gallery of the island and the Mausoleum of “Elli”.
